As Senior Technician Microbiology you develop, validate and perform quality control assays for microbiological assessment of clean rooms, utilities and pilot plant. You write trend reports and communicate your findings and advises with the production department.
Position
The Microbiology group of this Quality Control department is responsible for all microbiological testing and sampling of the water systems located in the pilot plant and for the release and stability testing of virus and antibody products for use in clinical trials. As a Senior Technician you perform trouble shooting in case of problems with routine assays and you develop, validate and implement new assays. Typical assays are Bioburden, Endotoxin analyses (LAL) and identification of micro-organisms.
In addition you are responsible for microbiological trend analyses, writing trend reports and discuss your findings with the manager of production. You handle Out of Specifications (OOS), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Change Controls (CC). You participate in routine analyses approximately 25% of your time.
Qualifications
We are searching a motivated Senior Technician Microbiology with the following
Qualifications:
BSc degree in a Life Sciences discipline with a focus on Microbiology through education or experience
Multiple years experience in a Quality Control environment under GMP regulations
Knowledge and experience with techniques like Bioburden, LAL, identification of micro-organisms etc.
Experience with documentation and independently reporting of results
