Hip Hop Dance Teacher

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced hip hop dance teacher to join our team.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about hip hop dance, possess excellent communication and instructional skills, and have a strong ability to engage and inspire students of ages 6-12 at beginner skill levels.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Plan Lessons:
Create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the curriculum and goals of the dance program.
Incorporate a variety of hip hop dance styles, techniques, and movements into lessons.
Instruction:
Provide clear and concise instructions to students, ensuring they understand and execute dance movements correctly.
Demonstrate dance techniques and movements, emphasizing proper form and style.
Offer constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
Choreography:
Create and teach choreography for performances, recitals, and competitions.
Adapt choreography to suit the skill levels and abilities of different student groups.
Class Management:
Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Manage class time effectively, balancing warm-up, instruction, and practice.
Address student behavior and disciplinary issues as needed.
Progress Assessment:
Regularly assess and evaluate students' progress and skill development.
Provide feedback to students and parents on their performance and areas for improvement.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding class schedules, performances, and other relevant information.
Attend meetings and participate in discussions related to the dance program.
Professional Development:
Stay current with developments in hip hop dance styles and trends.
Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a hip hop dance teacher.
Strong knowledge of hip hop dance styles and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Patient and adaptable teaching style.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in dance or a related field (preferred).
